B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture)

As we are all aware that Architecture course is unique of its kind and is a combination of Art and Science. Creativity and Imagination are fused together to produce monuments forever. This is a five year course with semester system. Course is approved by Council of Architecture and is affiliated to Anna University. This course is basically more of practical application oriented. Architecture has to do with planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambience to reflect functional, technical, social, environmental and considerations. It requires the creative manipulation and coordination of materials and technology~ and of light and shadow. Often, conflicting requirements must be resolved. The practice of Architecture also encompasses the pragmatic aspects of realizing buildings and structures, including scheduling, cost estimation and construction administration. Documentation produced by architects, typically drawings, plans and technical specifications, defines the -and/or of a building or other kind of that is to be or has been constructed.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the ten semester B.Arch Degree Program, Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations of (10+2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study under Part-III with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or any examination of any other University or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto.

Should have passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination recognized by the Central / State Government with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate. Not withstanding the qualifying examinations the candidate shall have passed, he/she shall pass an aptitude test (NATA) as specified by the Council of Architecture in the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education and Regulations.
